Rahul Gandhi, other Congress leaders detained for staging dharna outside Parliament

Rahul Gandhi and Shashi Tharoor, two prominent members of the Congress, were detained on Friday as they marched to Rashtrapati Bhavan to protest difficulties with unemployment, GST, and price inflation. Even though the Delhi police have refused to give them permission, they are still holding a large protest. The Vijai Chowk road and the path from Parliament to the President’s House have been barricaded by paramilitary personnel and Delhi police. In order to prevent the Congress MPs from demonstrating, women paraprofessionals are lined up directly on the opposite side of the barriers. Additionally, they intended to gherao the PM House. At a news conference, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi declared that India is now not a democracy and that a dictatorship of four persons rules the nation.
