Jammu, April 30 — A young man was found hanging from a tree under mysterious circumstances in Rathana village of Arnia, Jammu district, police said on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Sikandar, a resident of the village, according to officials. His body was discovered by locals, who immediately alerted the authorities.
Police personnel arrived at the scene shortly after receiving the information, retrieved the body, and transported it to a nearby hospital for post-mortem examination.
“A case has been registered and an investigation is underway,” a police source told The Chenab Times. “While initial indications suggest suicide, we are exploring all possible angles to determine the exact cause of death.”
