Doda – In a significant move to enhance transportation facilities and strengthen the road network, the District Administration, under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh, unveiled three new State Road Transport Corporation (SRTC) buses today. These buses are slated to operate along the Doda-Jammu highway, Doda-Batote, and Doda-Marmat routes.
The 32-seater bus allocated for the Pul Doda-Batote route was ceremoniously flagged off by DC Doda Harvinder Singh, accompanied by SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom. Additionally, another 32-seater bus, designated for the Doda to Jammu route, was inaugurated by President Municipal Council Doda, Ved Parkash Gupta.
Notably, on Tuesday, The Chenab Times highlighted the demand for increased RTC bus services. Coincidentally, yesterday’s call for improved services by The Chenab Times aligns with the District Administration’s proactive step to introduce additional buses, showcasing a responsiveness to the public’s transportation needs.
