A road accident in the Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district resulted in injuries to at least twelve individuals on Thursday. The collision between two vehicles occurred near Baja Kol on the Tral-Nowdal road.
According to an official statement quoted by news agency Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the accident took place when the two vehicles collided, causing injuries to all twelve passengers involved in the incident. Swift action was taken to provide medical assistance, with the injured being promptly transported to SDH Tral for initial medical attention.
Out of the twelve injured individuals, nine required further specialized treatment. They were consequently referred to medical facilities in Srinagar. The decision to transfer these patients was made to ensure that they receive the necessary advanced medical care, given the complexity of their injuries.
Law enforcement authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident. The local police have acknowledged the occurrence and are expected to conduct a thorough inquiry to determine the precise cause of the collision.
The identities of the individuals involved in the accident have not been disclosed at this time. The immediate focus has been on providing medical care and conducting a comprehensive assessment of the circumstances that led to the collision.
