Multilingual Mushaira Commemorating Late Shri Ghulam Mohammad Naik Mashkoor Held in Doda

The Gulam Mohammad Mashkoor Cultural Cooperative recently organized a captivating multilingual Mushaira at the prestigious J.R Films studio in Doda. The event, held on July 2, 2023, aimed to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of the region and pay tribute to the esteemed Late Shri Ghulam Mohammad Naik Mashkoor, a revered social worker, poet, scholar, and political luminary.

Under the patronage of the Gulam Mohammad Mashkoor Cultural Cooperative, the event showcased the society’s commitment to preserving and promoting the artistic and literary traditions of Doda. Shri Shakeeb Hamid Naik, Secretary of the Society, eloquently elucidated the objectives of the society and the event in his inaugural speech. He emphasized that the establishment of the society was a testament to the enduring legacy of Late Shri Ghulam Mohammad Naik Mashkoor, whose contributions continue to inspire and shape the cultural fabric of the region. The society remains dedicated to cooperation, communal harmony, brotherhood, peace, cultural and educational upliftment, and wholeheartedly dedicates itself to the people of Doda.

The distinguished poet and writer from Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Nasir Suhail Sideeqi, graced the occasion as the presiding guest. His esteemed presence added an extra sparkle to the event, resonating with the audience and poets alike. Dr. Akhter Hussain Suhail, HOD Urdu Govt. Degree College Doda, skillfully moderated the Mushaira, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for everyone in attendance.

The event witnessed the participation of an array of talented poets, each contributing their unique creative expressions to the poetic tapestry. Notable poets who enthralled the audience with their verses included Dr. Matloob Tak, Ashok Kumar Paras, Hamidullah Mahir, Mohd Shafi Aariz, Reyaz Museeb Bhalesvi, Majidullah Jaami, Asif Attaullah, Sanjay Kumar Rahgir, Sabir Bhaderwahi, Atya Rifat Banday, Abdul Qayoom Betaab, Aamir Sambri, Haseeb Raza, Irfan Mehvar, Imtiaz Ahmed Desire, Tasir Nabi Salik, and Arshad Rahat.

The event drew a large gathering of people, scholars, and intellectuals from the region, who were captivated by the mesmerizing performances and thought-provoking poetry. Notable attendees included Shri Salahuddin Tahir, Cultural Officer Academy of Art Culture and Languages Doda, Professor Javaid Iqbal Tramboo, Sajid Mir, Gazi Maqbool Mir, Jony Riaz, along with representatives from the Department of Cooperative Societies Doda and the District Information Department Doda.

As the event reached its conclusion, Shri Hamidullah Mahir expressed heartfelt gratitude through a vote of thanks, extending appreciation to all participants, organizers, dignitaries, and the enthusiastic audience who made the Mushaira a resounding success.
