Doda Police Apprehend Murder Suspect within 4 Hours of the Incident in Gandoh Bhalessa Area

In a swift response to a grave crime, the Doda Police managed to apprehend a murder suspect within four hours of the incident in the Gandoh area. The accused, identified as Bharu Singh, son of Pawan Kumar and a resident of Chownry Gandoh, allegedly attacked Ram Krishan, son of Nand Lal from village Dhosa Gandoh, resulting in his immediate death. Anju Devi, wife of Chander Parkash from Chouanry Gandoh, was also severely injured in the incident and has been referred to the Doda hospital for treatment. The whole incident was livestream on facebook by the accused.

Upon receiving reliable information through sources at the Gandoh Police Station, Adil Hussain, SDPO Gandoh, and Inspector Vikram Singh, SHO PS Gandoh, swiftly assembled a police party and rushed to the location. Employing tireless efforts and tactical strategies, the law enforcement officers managed to locate and apprehend the accused in the high ridges of a nearby forest area. During the arrest, the accused inflicted injuries upon himself using the weapon used in the offense, an axe.

Following the incident, an FIR (No 55/2023) has been registered under Sections 302 (murder), 307 (attempt to murder), and 342 (wrongful confinement) at the Gandoh Police Station, marking the commencement of a thorough investigation into the matter. Initial findings suggest that the incident stemmed from long-standing family disputes and grudges between two groups. Apparently, a heated argument regarding stone extraction escalated into a murderous attack.

The ongoing investigation aims to gather further evidence and ascertain the complete sequence of events leading to the tragic incident. The Doda Police are leaving no stone unturned in their pursuit of justice and ensuring that all aspects of the case are thoroughly examined. Law enforcement officials are diligently working to bring all those responsible for this crime to justice.

The Doda Police have urged members of the public to cooperate with the investigation and provide any relevant information that could aid in resolving the case. They have assured the community that no efforts will be spared in delivering justice and maintaining law and order in the region.
