Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industries has called for a complete shutdown on March 11 in protest against the imposition of property tax in Jammu and Kashmir. The decision was taken after a series of meetings with members of the civil society and other organizations.
The president of CCI, Arun Gupta, addressed a press conference and stated that the Chamber of Commerce and Industry will oppose any move that will put a burden on the people. He further added that the imposition of property tax is an unfair burden on the residents of Jammu and Kashmir.
This shutdown is expected to have a significant impact on the functioning of businesses and trade activities in Jammu. The Chamber of Commerce and Industries has assured that the shutdown will be peaceful and has requested the people to cooperate in this protest against the imposition of property tax.
