In connection with a FIR that actress Sherlyn Chopra filed against her, Rakhi Sawant has been taken into custody. She is being held by police in Amboli, according to India Today. On January 19 at 3 p.m., Rakhi was supposedly planning to open her dance academy, which she co-owns with her husband, Adil Durrani. She was, however, taken into custody by Amboli police on the same day.

Rakhi Sawant was arrested, and Sherlyn Chopra tweeted about it. She tweeted, “Amboli Police has arrested Rakhi Sawant in respect of FIR 883/2022. Yesterday, Rakhi Sawant’s ABA 1870/2022 was rejected by the Mumbai session court.”
Sherlyn Chopra received criticism from Rakhi Sawant last year for her remarks about #MeToo accuser Sajid Khan. On October 29, after recording her statement against Sajid Khan, Sherlyn went to the media and alleged that Salman Khan is standing up for the director. Rakhi Sawant attacked Sherlyn for her statement while simultaneously defending Sajid. Rakhi informed the media that the police are aware of which complaints are genuine and which are not. Later, Sherlyn accused Rakhi of defamation and filed a complaint.
