The Department of Social Forest Range Kishtwar, along with all block forest officers and field staff of Range Kishtwar, celebrated World Environment Day in the presence of Range officer Kishtwar Rajkumar on June 5th, 2022 at Chowgan ground, Kishtwar.

As per details available with The Chenab Times, Range Officer Kishtwar Rajkumar, along with other field staff, started the cleanliness drive and destroyed the cannabis plants in and around the Chowgan Grounds in Kishtwar. The Forest Department also planted trees in the chowgan ground with the aim of making Chowgan pollution free.
The Forest department also makes people aware of various environmental issues and requests everyone for plantation in their homes, cleanliness of polythene in and around their homes, and taking care of plants so that we can make the city pollution free.
