In another development, Jammu and Kashmir Police apprehended a man alongwith Narcotic substance heroine (Chitta) from Bhaderwah Town who had been on the run for two months.
In a statement issued to The Chenab Times, Doda Police said that in the month of January 2022, PS Bhaderwah registered a case under FIR No 8/2022 U/S 8/21 NDPS Act in which two grammes of heroin were recovered from the possession of one accused, namely Umaiz Manzoor S/O Manzoor Ahmed R/O Qilla Mohalla Bhaderwah.
During further investigation, while working on backward links to reach the root level, accused Umaiz Manzoor was interrogated to ascertain forward and backward links. During the investigation, one more name was surfaced, who was arrested today by a team from Bhaderwah Police Station and recovered heroin (chitta) from his possession. The accused is identified as Adil Faried S/O Fareed Ahmed R/O Dunya, Bhaderwah, the statement reads.
Accused Adil Faried is a notorious drug supplier of heroin (chitta) in Bhaderwah Town, and he has been on the run for the last two months after the commission of the crime. Further investigation into the case is still going on.
