A labourer from Muzzafar Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, killed in a tragic accident after being crushed by a dumper. The deceased was working with contractor engaged by NHIDCL for construction of Doda-Thathri stretch of NH 244.
According to information provided to The Chenab Times, the event occurred near Kandoth Morh Prem Nagar in Doda District, which is under the jurisdiction of Police Station Thathri.
According to official sources, an information was received at police station Thathri that a dumper bearing registration number UK14C-3576, driven by driver Dheeraj Kumar S/o Kawarpal R/o Tehsil Muzzafarnagar UP, hit a person named Sanjeev Kumar, also of Muzzafarnagar UP, near Kandoth Morh Prem Nagar, and the said person died on the spot.
After receiving information, police immediately rush to the spot and arrested the driver of the vehicle added that in this regard case FIR No.114/2021 U/s 279/304-A was registered at Police Station Thathri.
After completing all the legal formalities, the dead body of the deceased was handed over to family members and was later shifted to native village in UP with the help of local police and administration; assisted by the contractor.
