Militants on Sunday attacked a naka party of police at Sazgaripora area of Hawal in downtown area of Srinagar leaving a cop and a civilian injured.
A police official told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that militant fired at a naka party of police at Sazgaripora, Hawal, in downtown Srinagar in which police constable from police station Zadibal area of Srinagar identified as Farooq Ahmed and a civilian identified as Muneer Ahmed from Safa Kadal area of Srinagar sustained injuries. “Both received injuries in legs and were evacuated to the hospital where their condition is stated as out of danger,” he said.
The official said that senior police officials rushed to the spot and the area has been sealed while a manhunt launched to nab the attackers.
